Corper Tinuke

So I titled this exactly the way your name is saved on my phone. Feel free to laugh. It reminds me of how we met, so I will leave it like that.

Over time i have come to realize that there are some people who don’t have to speak before they have an influence in your life. These ones don’t necessarily have to have a conversation with you before your attention gets drawn to them. At times you will be thinking about how to approach and have a conversation with them but then you believe in let things happen naturally.

People like this, people like Atinuke Olanrewaju, will always come along in your life story.

Dear Atinuke,

How are you doing dear? How does it feel to be a year older? Are you super excited about it? You should be and if you are not, well, it is what it is, the Lord kept you this long for something and it’s gonna be longer because there’s always more. I don’t know how the previous year was like for you but from my observation, it came with a lot of learning, training, risky decisions and bold ones. It came with tiring and late nights, annoying people, learning to deal with people, building your relationship with the father and meeting exciting people that are writing and forming some chapters in your story. I want you to know that you should be proud of yourself more than I am.

I think we all have silent cheerleaders geng, you know those people who don’t really have to say thumbs up in person but deep down they are saying their thumbs up in their own way, i think I kinda resemble that. So I just want you to know openly that your growth and ginger inspires me a lot and i am proud of you. I might not reply your messages, correct your report, lol, you should fine me for that sef…

I want you to know that there’s more. Yeah. There’s more. You know you aren’t like everyone else, no matter how much the devil might want to remind you of an old version, you aren’t that. You have the life in Christ so you express that life in every area of your life. That’s your identity. I believe you are in a process. I guess we all are. But then it might vary. So enjoy the process, learn from it and don’t ever forget your dreams. Don’t stop dreaming. You see those steps you took, are taking and will take all leads somewhere (those dreams)

I am happy to have you in my story. I am glad to know that I will read this in years to come and remember your over responsible self, your gentle nature in family house, your friendship with my friend (one of the best times in his life), the day I prayed with you (lol, I don’t why I remember this day so clearly) and your passion for God. I hope your hunger was satisfied that year. Your smiles, the picture taking moment, the few discussion we got to have. You are really intelligent and I look forward to working with you more

A lot will still change, and you will testify to the process God took you through. He isn’t done writing the story, it’s an adventurous one and you gonna enjoy it so trust Him as He does the writing

I pray that the Lord will reveal Himself more to you. That all that you require to do all He has placed in your hands, He will open your eyes to see them that it’s in you. As you move on I life may you have the right people around you. Your decisions will be directed, your steps will be ordered and your light will shine so bright.

Don’t struggle to let go when it’s time. Whatever it is, allow Him take it all away.

Welcome to a new age love. Enjoy it and make beautiful memories
